A filling of halva and walnuts instead of the classic one — softer and more fragrant.
Ingredients
- 1 packet of filo pastry
- 300 g of tahini halva
- 2 cups of ground walnuts
- butter for brushing
- for the syrup: 2 cups of sugar, 2 cups of water, vanilla
Preparation
- Crumble the halva by hand and mix it with the ground walnuts.
- Layer the sheets in pairs, brushing each with melted butter, spread the filling and roll up.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased tin and bake until golden.
- Boil the sugar, water and vanilla for about ten minutes and let the syrup cool completely.
- Pour the cold syrup over the hot baklava and leave it for a few hours to soak in.
